Two years, one love

"Love, it's a special day
We should celebrate and appreciate
That you and me found something pretty neat
And I know some say this day is arbitrary"

A very cute and sweet mv, must watch =)

Random moments in life

"Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone

'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything"

I fell in love with The Lazy Song the first time I listened to it, the lyrics totally fit my perfect description of days at home. I can do what I want, sleep and wake up at anytime, eat if I feel like eating, wearing oversized tees with messy hair, laze around the sofa, turning the tv on and switching channels, reading novels and blogs, gawking at the pictures of pretty dress...What a life!

With induction letter arrived at my doorstep with ugly handwriting of my address, here ends my lazy life, sigh! I started to appreciate every random moments of my life more, like I am going to lose them anytime. So, I decided I shouldn't live through the days, I told myself to wake up early in the morning to do something good, like reading my favourite book or meditate (haha) , but I always end up waking up at 12 noon or lunch time!

Random picture of the boyfriend and my niece at the porch. This little kid liked to stick with him and smiled at him without reasons (what's she thinking?!). So, she followed us everywhere we went, and cried if she found us not at home when she came back from kindergarten.

I sometimes envy kids. Happy life, simple needs, no worries.

Taste and travel

Ipoh, Perak being a strategic location (which is not too far from either Muar or Penang) with good friend, good food, and good hang-out places, we decided to make it one of our travel destinations during this long holiday. So, we spent 3 days at Ah Hooi's house and embarked on our journey of yummies!

On our way to Ipoh, the boyfriend and I were so hungry that we could eat a whole cow! (And we just realised on the train that we were both wearing polka dots)

We set out on a gastronomic adventure with Ah Hooi, the hospitable host

For most of the gourmets, Ipoh is synonym for Dim Sum

Foh San is the oldest and most famous restaurant for Hong Kong style dim sum in Ipoh

This newly-renovated Foh San was definitely one of the most well-decorated dim sum restaurant

Welcome back

Hello, friends, it has been ages since my last update. During the hiatus, I spent most of my time reading (novels, fashion blogs, mag...), sleeping and, of course travelling! The boyfriend and I went to S'pore for a short trip and we visited each other's home town (guess you already knew, Muar and Penang). This was a mini 3-week vacation since our last trip in mid June.

I always love Penang for its heritage buildings, delicacies and vibrant livng culture. For everything you wish to get in KL, Penang has it all minus the hustle and bustle of big cities. And, this time my favourite hang-out place would be Straits Quay which is set within the waterfront community of Seri Tanjung Penang. I had my saliva drooled over the luxury bungalows there, so beautiful and even the grass and trees looked extraordinarily green!

Straits Quay lighthouse overlooking the marina. You can see the luxury yatch/ sailboats here.

Charlie Brown's cafe, the food sucks and I broke their chair accidentally!

Bistro to offer chilled beer while you overwhelmed by the breathtaking views (or get dehydrated under scorching sun)
